How does that type of deck fair against the story fights and challenges? I have to get all the way to Zexal to buy the pack for them though. I actually want to play with Madolche since the cards are cutesy and I've heard good things about it. I guess when the story fights start to use synchro I will too, same with the other card types. If you need a deck core for any of the decks I recommended, I'll be willing to post one. Originally posted by Zaizen:apologies for long post lol Gishki is probably the easiest ritual deck for new players to learn, but you already know that one it seems. Nekroz are a ritual deck that was meta at one point though, but it's pretty hard to learn. Ritual decks have the same problem as Fusions, they use up too many resources in the hand. For a new player, I'd recommend learning Masked HERO (although technically not a fusion deck), Cyber Dragon (summon out big machines with high atk) or Gladiator Beasts (contact fusion archetype). Shaddolls are probably the best fusion deck to play as they have a spell which can fusion summon monsters in your deck. Also, a lot of the synchro "support" you'll see used in the 5Ds Campaign is awful.įusion decks aren't really the best as they use up all their hand resources easily. I'd recommend playing Infernity Synchro or DARK Synchro, as they have the easiest playstyles. They also have the most diverse set of playstyles. Synchros are the hardest to understand for new players out of the summoning methods. But, if you're playing without a banlist then Dragon Rulers are probably the best XYZ deck to play. Some XYZ decks which are easy to understand are Evilswarm (anti-meta XYZ deck), Tellarknights (also kind of anti-meta), Battlin' Boxers (summon their Boss Monster and protect it) and Rank 10 Trains (spams out powerful Rank 10 XYZ monsters). XYZ decks are also pretty good because of how generic and wide the XYZ toolbox is. I'd recommend building Normal Pendulums or Performapal Magicians since they're pretty easy to learn. Pendulums are (probably) the best summoning method PePe Pendulum decks were like Tier 0 in 2016. ![]()
